पाप पुण्य छोटे/बड़े नहीं होते , उनको करते समय भावों की तीव्रता उन्हें छोटा/बड़ा बना देती है । उसी अनुपात में उनके फल छोटे/बड़े हो जाते हैं । जैसे एक ही युद्ध में लक्ष्मण रस लेकर लड़ते थे सो फल क्या मिला ? राम को लड़ना पड़ता था सो मोक्ष गये ।
