यह तो देव/नारकियों को ही होता है । तीर्थंकरों के भी गर्भ से ही अवधिज्ञान आता है, वे स्वर्ग/नरक से लेकर ही आते हैं, इसलिये उपचार से उसे भवप्रत्यय कह देते हैं, पर आगमानुसार वह भावन्तराय अवधिज्ञान है ।
