Very aptly stated!
One should turn to god on account of his/her faith. This faith should arise as a result of deep desire to dissolve in superior consciousness. Hence faith should ideally be used as a tool to be one with this superconscience.
Effectively, this faith defines less adhesion to the element of mithyat (or worldly passions/desires) and more towards the achievement of singular goal of salvation (nirvana or moksha).
In essence, the inclination to be absored in pious acts like Puja, should be as a result of one’s faith and not out of need or unfulfilment of worldly desires.
