नवजात बच्चे और उसकी माँ को 45 दिन का सूतक, पर पितादि को 10 दिन का ही । पर 10 दिन के बाद पितादि यदि बच्चे/माँ को छूलें तो नहा कर ही देव,गुरु,शास्त्र को छूऐं ।
